Gris gameplay video → Conduct Together! Review Switch ★★★★☆ Gris doesn't offer anything particularly exciting gameplay-wise but its awe-inspiring world will be more than enough to suck you in. That being said, I still found myself hooked and I thoroughly enjoyed taking in the pitch-perfect sights and sounds.
It's not the sort of game that you'll get stuck on as everything is quite linear and easy to figure out so it acts more like a relaxing experience as opposed to a challenging puzzle platformer. However, once you come across an area that requires actual gameplay, you'll find yourself solving basic puzzles and performing some simple platforming. Basically, it isn't anything special as a lot of the campaign merely involves traversing vast environments without much going on. I'll put my music nerd alter ego aside for now and discuss the gameplay of Gris.
I'll definitely have to keep my ear out for their music as they're clearly a very talented group of musicians. It reminds me a lot of Sasha's Scene Delete which is one of my favourite albums of all time or something by Ulrich Schnauss but it is in fact composed by the band Berlinist. The music makes the game world even more immersive with its lush and subtle soundscapes. Gris takes place in a beautiful watercolour world where you play as a young woman who's on a journey of self-discovery within its abstract setting.
